CooP-Africa’s partner organisation in Uganda ORUDE has made 70 bicycles available to 6 Saccos in Eastern Uganda. Via the Saccos (Saving and Credit Cooperations) the bicycles are to be given to rural entrepreneurs on a creditscheme programme in 2012. In July 2012 these bicycles were distributed to the different Saccos in Jinja and Bugiri: Buyengo, Bugembe, Mafubira, Busedhe, Nankoma and Kapyanga. Along with the bicycles, each Sacco’s secretary managers and treasures received record keeping books for the Bicycle Credit Scheme in ORUDE supported by CooP-Africa.
