In recent months, Comprehensive school Driemark in Winterswijk the Netherlands organised various activities to raise money for a CYCLE2SCHOOL project of Cycling out of Poverty. The whole school participated: one class organised a spinning marathon, another sold bird houses and organised a cinema event. Yesterday was the total amount was made known: the actions have an incredible 12,000 euros. A fantastic return for a very comitted school. With this funds, a new CYCLE2SCHOOL project in Kenya will start, whereby families with school-age children can aquire a bicycle on credit. Click here for more information about this project.
