In the week before Easter primary school ‘Het Octaaf’ in Nijmegen organised a fund raising event to raise money for the Bike4School programme of CooP-Africa. The groups 1-2, 3 and 4 cycled, the children of the groups 5 to 8 played bingo and the groups 6b en6c run laps around the school to raise money.

During a question hour children from different groups came to school teacher Corry, also Board Member of CooP-Africa. Corry did answer their questions about CooP-Africa. The children raised many questions such as:

– How many children do have a bicycle?
– In how many and which countries bicycles are given out?
– When has the first bicycle been issued and in which country?

After question time the children went back to their classroom to tell everything to their class mates.

The children have collected a lot of money: € 620 for the Bike4School programme of CooP Africa. A fantastic result!
