The organisation BSPW started in 1990 as a small skill-training workshop at the Shores of Lake Victoria. In the last decennia it has grown to a large workshop which not only sells, repairs and modifies bicycles but also engages in wood and metal work. The workshop is currently expanding with a second building. CooP-Africa is supporting BSPW in expanding the workshop.
