Over 300 primary school students of the Marang in Angeren (the Netherlands) did their very best for their peers in Africa. Via a photo presentation, the students of the Marang got introduced to how students in Africa go to school: many students go on foot, which takes a lot of time. After that, the pupils of the Marang raised 2,400 euros for bicycles for school children in Kenya via a sponsor run (click here for more info about the project). “I have 2 bicycles, and many children in Africa not 1.” said a pupil who had just run 8 rounds in the sponsor run. Do you also want to organise a sponsor run for Cycling out of Poverty?
