Cycling out of Poverty values south-south exchange between her partner organisations in Africa. They can inspire each other, learn from each other and exchange experiences. All of them are working on bicycle projects supported by Cycling out of Poverty, and they often face similar challenges. In recent years, Cycling out of Poverty organised an annual meeting for her partner organisations somewhere in Africa, to discuss a variety of topics. Last year, the African organisations decided to form a network: called the African Bicycle Network (ABN). Cycling out of Poverty supports ABN in the first period. From 5 – 7 October, the African Bicycle Network members came together in Dakar Senegal. During this meeting issues of organisational and substantive nature were discussed. The meeting helps the network and its individual members to develop further. This meeting was made possible by UN Habitat and Iganga Foundation.
