For many entrepreneurs, tricycles can be an efficient way of transporting goods. For instance garbage collectors use tricycles for going around neighbourhoods and collecting garbage and bringing it to recycle units where they can get some income from. The bicycle workshops of Cycling out of Poverty’s partner organisations in Kenya, Uganda and Burkina Faso will be producing the tricycles. Currently, the first tricycle has been made and will be taken into use next week. Volunteer Arjen Reinders has designed and produced this model, and he is also training the technicians of the workshop on how they can produce the bicycle themselves.
